Here are four tips to help you finish strong and end 2022 on a high note!

1. Slow Down so that you can Speed Up

As a working mom, let’s be honest, you often go at 80 mph for what feels like every minute of the day. This is true in a literal and figurative sense. Many working moms find themselves walking around quickly, thinking quickly, and overall moving at a rapid GOOOOGOGOGOGO pace for most of the day. I want to challenge you to question yourself the next time you find yourself rushing. Chances are if you are rushing, if you stop and take a deep breath and reassess the situation you will be in a better physical and mental state to combat whatever fire it is you are trying to put out.

2. Use the Resources Available to you

People: Who are the people in your life at work and at home that can help you move the needle in the right direction? When you are using these particular resources, you need to be careful not to come across as selfish. Everyone thrives when the love is spread out equally. Be sure there is a consistent and fair exchange when you initiate and continue to leverage the expertise and energy of others. In other words, girl don’t try to play with anyone or be selfish. Most people can see right through that crap.

Conferences, events. workshops: Are there any end-of-year communities you would like to join? This time of the year is filled with all sorts of emotions ranging from thrill to excitement, fear, and a dash of hope. But it can be tricky because many tend to get so wrapped up in the holidays that they forget that this time is good for productivity as well. The Wrap-up 2022 Strong Challenge exists to combat this issue: we want you to have fun and celebrate the end of the year, so we are inviting you to join the challenge and get on board with Wrapping up 2022 Strong. You can sign up here.

3. Get your Mind Right

Can I ask you a question? When was the last time you checked in with yourself? I mean assess YOUR needs. For moms, it is hard to put their needs first. Women are conditioned to place the needs and want of others above their own. But I want us to change that. We can be amazingly loving and supportive mothers, wives, daughters, employees, bosses, and church attendees without being the sacrificial lamb.

Once you’ve freed up some of your time and energy to concentrate on yourself, you can begin to look inward. For some of you that may mean incorporating God, prayer, and meditation in your life. When your life just doesn’t feel right and something just feels off, this is often a clear indication that you are very far away from the true source, God. For me that is Jesus, but for you, that may be whatever or whoever is the source of your life. It may be time to get back to basis.

4. Give yourself Grace

If you are here, I can bet that you are deserving of grace. Despite what that little voice in your head is telling you, I’m sure that you worked hard and tried your best this year. Things may not have always gone according to plan, but you can still finish up 2022 emotionally, physically, and financially strong.

If you’re a mom, I’d like to invite you to sign up for the Wrap up 2022 challenge. The waitlist for this goal setting and planning workshop can be found here.

Choose one from the list or all.

But most importantly decide today, if you are willing to do what it takes to end 2022 strong.

If you’re not sure how you feel about ending the year, sit with the question for a day or two. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Are you happy?
  • Do you like the direction my life is headed?
  • Can you be doing something differently?
  • Do you feel accomplished?
  • Do you know what’s next for you?
  • Do you like the current trajectory of your personal and professional life?
